How we fund the project
Running a monthly testing lab costs money. To cover it, some outbound links on this site may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a small commission if you sign up for a service after following one. That is the full extent of our commercial model.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a normal link with a tracking tag that tells the destination we referred you. It costs you nothing extra and does not change the price you pay.
Our rule
An affiliate relationship never changes a score or a rank. A low-scoring service is published as low-scoring regardless of any arrangement, and we will link to a service we rate poorly only with its warning intact. Scores come from the documented test framework, not from who pays.
How we label links
- Commercial links are disclosed on the page where they appear.
- We do not disguise ads as test results or editorial recommendations.
- Where a top-rated service happens to have an affiliate program and a poorly-rated one does not, the ranking still reflects the test, not the payout.
No pay-for-ranking
Services cannot buy a higher score, a better position, or a “safe” badge. We accept no payment, gifts, or incentives in exchange for a favorable review. See the full editorial policy.
