Our commitment
We aim to make every page of Viewer Safety Lab accessible to people using screen readers, keyboards, magnification, and other assistive technology.
Standards
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, and treat any gap against that standard as a bug.
What we’ve done
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading order and landmark regions.
- Visible keyboard focus states and full keyboard operability, including the navigation menu and FAQ accordions.
- Text and interface contrast that meets AA ratios, in a single consistent theme.
- Respect for prefers-reduced-motion: animations are reduced or removed when you request it.
- Descriptive link text, labelled form fields, and ARIA labels on icon-only controls.
- Responsive layouts that reflow to a single column without loss of content on small screens.
Data tables (like the rankings) scroll horizontally on small screens with a persistent first column, so no information is lost on mobile.
Known limitations
This is an evolving project. Some third-party embeds we may add in future (such as external charts) can fall short of our standard; where that happens we provide a text alternative. If you hit a barrier we haven’t listed, please tell us.
